Calling all crossplayers! (and other interviewees)

Hi,

Sorry if this sounds weird, but I'm going to be at Oni-con doing a documentary highlighting crossplayers. I'll be with a mini-crew, holding a camcorder and mic, so please look out for me! (i shall be crossplaying as a male) I shall be there friday afternoon-night, and all day Saturday.

I'm posting to see if I can recruit volunteers ahead of time~ anyone, males, females, or transgendered....etc. . Some of these questions may be on your personal life as well as the character you're crossplaying.... if you prefer, I can be completely private about your information, censor out your eyes, etc.

This is NOT totally random, it's for my college class, so I plan to take TRUE answers. (not all have to be positive answers!) The audience watching this probably has very little knowledge of cosplay/conventions in general, so I would like not present a joke, okay? XD

so I'm going to be interviewing people who:
1) want to have fun and be interviewed about their costume choices.
---you DON'T have to be a crossplayer, actually. I would prefer the majority to be of crossplaying type, but if you're not crossplaying, I could ask you about your choices.---
2) general knowledge of crossplaying/convention goers. Theories of people's mentalities are fine too.
3) anyone who has a transgendered/sexuality mentality and is open to talk about it.

In general, I would be stopping all the crossplayers I can get to, but if there are any cosplayers who are knowledgeable in the art of crossplay, (panelists? guests?) I would especially love to interview them.

Please reply back with questions and comments! I want to see how this will turn out >>; thanks~~ From the fun to the serious, I invite all!!

PS - if you're worried about my creditials and trustworthiness, feel free to PM me or just approach me at a con and not take an interview. I am a film student, but I haven't conducted a documentary on my own before. and I <3 crossplay!! yay! so show the world what it's made of~

So, about the personal info...would it be alright if someone wanted to use the nickname on their badge instead of their real name?

I don't crossplay a lot, but I've done it a couple times, along with general crossdressing (and I've got some unusual views on sexuality and gender identity). Your documentary sounds very interesting so I look forward to running into you.

your documentary sounds awesome! I'd love to be apart of it.

I'll be crossplaying all weekend! I'm a female and I'll be doing Allen Walker from D. Gray-man. Well Saturday I'll be doing an EGL version of my male character so is that really crossplaying? I'll be with a guy doing an EGA form of Rhode Camelot from D. Gray-man (a female character), again does that count as crossplaying?

What will you be dressed as so I know who to look for? Also are you going to any specific events?

Yup! Guys crossplaying are well welcomed too! (probably because of their rarity...)

I don't know how to really explain what i'm wearing on Friday >>; it's from an obscure show. But i'll be going as Koizumi Itsuki from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi on Saturday.
I'll see if i can make a sign, get it approved, and carry it around. That's a little obnoxious tho...I can try and stay as much as possible in the...giant area that faces the windows. There's usually enough room there for me to film and not cause a fire hazard (also, lighting is better)

Is a list of the panels out? I may go and find a crossplay panel, but other than that, I would probably just be wandering outside of rooms most of the time.

Oh I would love to be apart of it. It sounds really interesting. Sadly I will be only going on Saturday so look for me I will be ANBU Sasuke. I can't wait!

Especially since I think like... maybe one of my costumes isn't a crossplay out of the 8 or so I'll be taking. XD;

I wanna help!!!

Hiya! I would LOVE to help out. I've ben to Atsui and Matsuri Con. Both times I cosplayed as Winry Rockbell from FMA. I will be doing it again, with a few improvements in the outfit. By the way, I am a girl- sorryXD. Anyhow, I wish you luck. See ya!

Hey, I won't be crossplaying

Hey, I won't be crossplaying at Onicon this year, but pretty much every cosplay I've done so far/90% of the ones I have planned has been crossplay. Would you still be interested in me volunteering?
