Lolita Kisama is a company that makes Jrock and visual kei clothing with the goal to support and possibly grow the minority of Jrock fans in America. At Fanime '08 they had a fashion showing off all of their clothing which ranges from Jstreet, Visaul kei and Lolita. I asked them if they were going to do a show at Oni-con and they asked me to make a request of Oni to invite them.
So...
here is their Myspace

they have a vid of the show up. It looks like a lot of fun.
What do you guys think?
There's really no polite way to say this, but...
Lolita Kisama is a poor representation of J-Fashion, in cut, style, and quality. :/ I don't think it would be a good idea because people would get the wrong idea about Japanese fashion, especially Lolita.
Hmm, I get that and agree. They don't represent Japanese fashion very well. They are trying to promote the idea of Visaul Kei and get people to pay a little more attention to Jrock. Their fashion show is to showcase their stuff, just like every other fashion show. And everybody has their own views on those types of fashion ("J street, Visual Kei, and Lolita") which makes these fashion trends so much fun; there is no set rules about them....
anybody else?
anybody else?
Just a couple people.
Hey that's cool. I wanted to know everybody's opinion. Those guys on LJ should post it here so the Oni ppls know.
I happen to like what the have, I'll probably never buy it, but I think it looks cool.
