The Japanese Culture Society

The Japanese Culture Society (JCS) is an entity dedicated to revealing the enjoyable, interesting and tantalizing components of the Japanese culture from the admirer's point of view. Our focus is simple - to introduce a large number of Houstonians to the history, culture, entertainment, language and cuisine that makes Japan a phenomenal land. Through a series of events and activities we hope to explore what makes Japan's culture unique. Whether it is watching an ancient GO presentation or the singing the latest songs at the next karaoke party, we hope to learn and experience the most interesting parts of this mysterious culture.

Our organization is a self-supporting entity (through the participation of our members and the profits from our events) but we proudly work directly with other local organizations throughout the city. Such as the Japan America society of Houston, The Houston Sushi meet up group, the Anime no Kai, A.N.D. (anime not Drugs), Atsuicon, Oni-con , Gener Asian Radio, and Delta H con.

We help our fellow Otaku achieve their anime related goals. We can help you go to Japan as an echance student, we can help you learn Japanese here, and we can help you meet other Otaku and Japanese alike, living in Houston. So please join the JCS as soon as possible. Because you wont want to miss any of our events.
