I'm not certain if anyone here has either seen or participated in our little event, but those who are in the know can tell you how much fun it is. It's already become official for A-kon 16, and I want to spread my love all the way to Oni-Con! It would be most rightously excellent to get a panel spot for our game of posing kings.

What is the Pose Off?

We, the Judges (myself, Komirascal, Swiff Kick, and Hoshi), provide to posers or groups of posers with a pose (or series of poses) and judge their ability to pull it off. New rules have us actually giving the posers a numerical score for all three rounds. The first two poses are done as said. However, for the third pose, we ask the posers to come up with there own poses and judge them on style or originality.

What's the point? It's purely for entertainment, really. Humiliate yourself for fun and absolutely no profit. It's had great success at both Ushicon and Kamikaze con allready as an unofficial event. If it is made into a panel, I can almost garuntee it's success.

The Pose - Off.... my good friend.. I thnik that sounds like a great idea.

Accutaly I been apart... well seen both of the Pose-Off's done so far and they quite enjoyable for the boring Sundays.

WOOT... as one of the original posers/moderators/ whatever i was there doing it... i say that it is a great way for people who on sunday are; waiting for rides, have nothing better to do, have been before and are looking foward to the pose off, want to sqeeze in one last con type/cosplay type thing on sunday before they go home.

it is essencialy that one active thing to do on sunday if you still have any energy (whether or not you did things or just ate 7 boxes of pocky for breakfast) to burn off.

its a way for you to finnish off roles of film on your cameras,

all in all it is a wonderful way to be physicaly active, meet people, and well... humiliate yourself infront of an audience. plus half of the raver ninjas will be there, (danzig, kawaii seth, and myself. oohh ahh... glow sticks shinny)

Well, I'm glad to say that Pose Off at A-kon was a riotous success. I got a little teary eyed after it all. I wanted some con reps from AFest and Oni-Con to be there, as to see exactly what it is I've been proposing to them all these months, but I think showing them MarzGurl's video (once it is finished) will suffice. As for those who went, let us know what you thought!

I saw those on the Ushi forum, but Lily didn't get Wuffers and I with our last pose... T.T
